My breeder sent over a CD of my baby pictures to my family. This is the picture that was taken on the day that I got picked up by my family - guess I did grow quite a bit since then.

Cousin #2

After hearing about this other cousin for so long, I've finally got a chance to meet Bobo. It's definitely love at first sight from my end, although my excitement didn't quite get reciprocated...

Haircut

My family finally had enough of my "puppy look" and brought me to the groomer to give me the schnauzer cut this Sat.

So excited to see all the comments that were made in response to my previous posting. First of all, responding to Chloe: Sam Sum = my Aunt Becky from HK. Though I haven't met her, but for sure I know she has good fashion taste. :)

Mom (as in my real doggie mom)!!! I'm so excited to hear from you! Glad to know that everyone is doing well and that you'll be busy with new puppies again. I'll for sure ask my family to bring me to visit some day.

For some of my recent updates, the reason that I didn't get to blog for a while was that I had just had my "operation" last week. It really took me no time to recover - I was back to my bouncy self by the next day. The "problem" according to my mom and dad was exactly my jumpiness...everyone in the house is now trying to keep me from running, climbing, jumping, chasing, playing....pretty much everything that I love to do! O well...guess it's all for my own good....but it's getting boooooorrriiiinnnng.

Anyhow....did get to visit my bro's place and found my favourite spot in the corner.

A walk in the park

It's the long weekend - meaning no work on Monday for the grown-ups and I also got a break on my puppy class too.

On Sunday morning, my family took me to the park at Humber College besides where my big bro lives.

Cousin?

After all this waiting, I've finally met my cousin from London - Chloe the cute beagle! It's really been the first time since I left my siblings to have a puppy to play with me. Needless to say, I was VERY excited. Being 2 months younger and currently a bit smaller in size, Chloe wasn't quite as thrilled with me jumping all over her and hence pictures of us could only be taken while we were each being held. I was told, however, next time I see Chloe, she'll be twice my size...

Anyhow, it was really nice meeting you Chloe and can't wait for the next time to see you again!

Petsmart

Had my third class at Petsmart....so far I've learned (or at least they tried teaching) sit, walk on leash, take-it, leave-it and down. After my class, mom let me pick a new toy...

Puppy class

I had my first puppy class on Sunday! I was a bit nervous at first when my sis and mom took me for a car ride to this strange place with lots of other dogs and people. However, as soon as the class started, the instructor passed out treats for all the puppies and it immediately set everyone out on a good start. My classmates consisted of a Chihuahua, a Maltese, a big black waterdog, a Shiba Inu and a few other cuties as well. While I immediately mastered the commands ("watch me" & "sit") that the instructor taught in class, my sis and mom still complained that I was the loudest one out of all puppies. They don't understand geniuses usually get bored at school easily! :P

Another milestone for this weekend - my weight has reached the double digits!

First outing

Went to see the lady vet again the past Saturday and had another needle. According to mom and dad, I can finally go outside to play now.

To celebrate, we went to McDonald's for a quick breakfast on Sunday and then went for a walk in the trail. I love going out!

Treasure hunt

I have to share a big secret with you...the backyard of my house is full of treasures! You can find all these valuables on the ground....

just that sometime you'll have to dig in a bit...cuz they may be hidden underneath the grass....

wooden stick is a good example...but there are leafs and stones and bulbs and all other kinds of things that fit right into my mouth... :)

However, one thing I never do quite understand is why my family always seems to so upset at me instead of sharing my joy in finding the treasures....hmm...wonder if it may be remotely related to the fact that I always end up with dirty feet and a mouth full of soil after playing in the backyard...

The heritage

Wondering where I got my good look? Well, not that I'm bragging but I've got the champion bloodlines in me. I'm the result of these two cuties: the salt & pepper beauty - Bailey (CH. Whisker’s Baileys Irish Cream) and the handsome guy with black & silver coat, Tuxedo (CH. Greysatin N Jerdaises Tuxedo).











Look at me, I've already got the nice coat and the square proportion of a champion potential mini-schnauzer!

First Vet Visit

My family took me to have my first visit to the vet. The lady vet was actually really nice - she petted me and gave me a biscuit while I was there. However, the visit would have been much more pleasant without the needle and the medical drop through the nose. Supposedly, these are vaccines that will prevent me from some deadly diseases...and I have to be back next month for some more before I can go out and play with other doggies...sigh...

On a brighter note, I'm now 6.9 lbs! Which meant I gained almost 2 lbs since I came to the Wong's family last week. In no time, I'll be a BIG dog!

The trouble-maker!

So that's what my dad called me now...which I think it's totally unfair. It took me a whole weekend to get used to the new environment and get over the fact that I won't get to play with my siblings anymore....so what's the big deal with chewing on door mats! (k...may be occasionally the chairs, the grasses and mom's jacket too.)

My first weekend home...

So my family took me home on May 25, when I was 11 weeks old. I had to get a 1.5 hrs car ride to get from Peterborough to Mississauga. I sat (and slept) quite comfortably througout my ride. Being to the new place was of course quite a change for me...without my 10 siblings as a starter!

Let me introduce myself...currently 10 weeks old as of May 12..the important date when I first met the Wong's family. I'm a salt & pepper mini-schnauzer whom will soon to be named Symui (little sister in Chinese) and will be the centre of attention of this loving family.
